This mountain is affectionately called The Batmoore Mountain by locals, due to its shape. When you drive further east away from Vestrahorn, then you'll need to look behind you to see these impressive towers, that disappear from sight sometimes on the windy road.

The mountains in the Westfjords are older (about 10-16 million years old) and have been shaped through thousands of years of carrying heavy glaciers and battling with the natural elements, polishing off the rough edges.
